Projektbeschreibung
Die Feldkapelle ist aufgebaut wie ein hortus conclusus. Sie ist von Trockenmauern umschlossen und schafft einen Binnenbereich. Ein Diagonalkreuz als Passionskreuz aus Cor-ten Stahl bildet den Eintritt ab. Über einen gepflasterten Weg, der zum aufmerksamen Gehen zwingt erreicht man den Andachtsraum, der als ein reiner Glaskubus ausgebildet wurde und von allen Seiten die umgebende Natur einfängt als Geschöpf Gottes. Der Andachtsraum ist für Jedermann, jedweden Glaubens zugänglich und von Sonnenaufgang bis Sonnenuntergang geöffnet.
Der innere Garten und seine Bepflanzung, Findlingskulpturen, Kies, Moos und japanische Azaleen lassen Andeutungen an Japan erkennen. Der Standort ist an einer Wegegabelung am Ende des Tennelbachtales gelegen, an der Nahtstelle von Wiesen und Wäldern.

Chapel in the Fields
The countryside chapel was built like a "hortus conclusus"(walled-in garden). It is embraced by dry stone walls, creating an inner area. A diagonal cross, like the cross from the Passion, depicts the entrance and is made from corten steel.
By way of a cobblestoned path, which forces attentive walking, one arrives at the oratory which was built as a pure glass cube and is trapped from all sides by surrounding nature- the creation of God. The oratory is open to every person of every religion and is open from dawn to dusk.
The inner garden and its planting, boulder sculptures, gravel, moss and Japanese azaleas allow visitors to recognize hints of Japan. The site is located at a fork in the road, at the end of the Tennelbachtal: an interface between meadows and forests.
