Children's Daycare in Bärstadt Topic: Building in the countryside Above the Schlangenbad-Barstadt, a daycare was inserted at the entrance to a village in the rolling fields of the Taunus. The "House for Kids" is composed of four breakout rooms with all of the typical, associated equipment. The differentiated, formed structure with its sheltering, large roofs and tower define the entrance of the village. The shape of the house on the border of the village to open nature is the mediating element between free, open countryside and construction. The shape allows allusions, on the one hand, which are attributable to the realms of tree houses, climbing towers, and hunting lookouts. A result of urban design, it sits at the hem between the village of Schlangenbad-Barstadt and open nature. It is reminiscent of field barns and hunting watchtowers with its sheltering, large roof as the mediating element of the house's insertion into the Taunus' hilly countryside. Choosing wood as the building material supports these thoughts.
